What should I pay attention to when piling the Larson steel sheet pile?

Released on Jan. 08, 2020

We must pay attention to the construction of Larson steel sheet piles, reasonably choose the "screen type" piling method, piling machinery, and the division of the flow section; the purpose of this is to make the sheet pile wall with sufficient stiffness and good Waterproof effect, and the sheet pile wall surface is straight to meet the requirements of foundation construction, and closed sheet pile walls also require closed closure.

The Lassen steel sheet pile construction is started from one corner, and each steel sheet pile is punched from the beginning to the end. Therefore, the pile driving path is short, the construction is simple, and the installation speed is fast. However, because a single-piece driving steel sheet pile is easy to tilt to one side, the cumulative error is difficult to correct, and the straightness of the wall surface is difficult to control.

Therefore, it is recommended that the axis of the Larson steel sheet pile cofferdam be determined by the surveyor first. Guide piles can be set at certain intervals. The guide piles use the steel sheet piles directly, and then the lanyard line is used as the wire. In the case of high axial normal requirements, a guide frame is used.

In the construction of Larson steel sheet piles, single Larson steel sheet piles are shot one by one. When they are shot, it should also be noted that the height of the top of the steel sheet piles must not differ too much. When inserting steel sheet piles, the inclination of the steel sheet piles should also be tested. Generally, the inclination of the Larson steel sheet piles should not exceed 2%. If the slope of Larson steel sheet pile is too large, be sure to pull up the steel sheet pile and re-strike, taking care not to use the method of alignment to adjust.
